Description
Comprehensive treatment programs for youth, including residential, outreach, foster care case management, independent living options, and more. Youth should be placed in accordance with gender identity (more info below). Services are mostly concentrated within St. Louis City and County and St. Charles.
Crisis & Outreach Services:
- Provides goods, compassion, and access to resources to local homeless teenagers, including hygiene kits, ready-to-eat food items, safer sex products, educational materials, and information on support services.
- Youth Emergency Shelter (ages 11-19):
- 24-hour team of youth advisors and master-level therapists offering secure, temporary housing to homeless and at-risk youth, including pregnant youth up to 26 weeks into their pregnancy. Case management services, life-skill education, and employment opportunities available. Call the Epworth Helpline at 1(800)899-5437 for immediate assistance, referrals are accepted from a variety of sources.
- LGBTQI+ Group (ages 14-20):
- Resources and support for LGBTQI+ youth currently enrolled in Epworth programming. Held on the first Thursday of each month from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, currently online via Zoom.
- Located at 7500 Natural Bridge Road in Normandy, MO 63121 and opens the third Saturday of each month from 9:30am – 12:00pm. Items are provided on a first come, first served basis until supplies run out. Please note: The pantry currently only operates on select Saturdays and has adopted a “drive-through” setup. Epworth requests that all clients remain in their cars and allow Epworth team members to place items in their cars.
- Residential Services (ages 11-18):
- 24-hour team of youth advisors, licensed therapists, recreational coordinators, case managers, and nursing professionals offering weekly individual, group, and family therapy to address core mental health issues; case management services and vital life skills education; therapeutic recreational and team-building activities; and support to youth enrollment in their current schools or are enrolled in the Webster Groves School District, with school staff and officials providing extra support and guidance as needed.
