Claire's House offers helping hands and hope for animal owners dealing with short-term hurdles. They mainly serve cats and dogs but other animals could be discussed. - Through the TLC (temporary loving caregiving or fostering) program, Claire's House provides __experienced and caring fostering__ for pets of people dealing with things like hospitilization, rehab, or illness until both owner and furry friend can safely return home together. - __The Golden Leash program__ offers free services to owners who need help caring for their dogs in their residence. This may include __taking the dogs for walks__, accompanying them to their vet visits or grooming appointments, and providing essential support to the owners based on their needs.

The APA Adoption Center is a pet non-profit offering: - Pet adoption - Wellness clinic to adoptive pets, including wellness packages, routine outpatient care, vaccinations, heartworm preventative, flea & tick preventative, minor illness consultation. They also offer reduced fee vaccine services to non-APA community members. - Educational Programs, including: Weekly story-time with youth ages 2-5, in-school programming on bullying prevention and animal safety, and a pet reach program at nursing homes & memory care facilities. Queer APA staff share that APA of MO is a LGBTQIA+ safe space for employment and pet adoption, and that DEI is a shared priority among their team.
