Three Steps Home (formerly Bridge of Hope STL)

Description
Three Steps Home wants to be an entity that unhoused people can trust. Sitting in a niche somewhere between a hospital and a homeless shelter, the organization aims to help people without stable shelter address their ongoing medical needs—and then maybe get help for other needs as well.
Why Respite Care in St. Louis?
With 2.8 million people, St. Louis is the 21st largest U.S. metropolitan area with an estimated 2,500 unhoused adults. Most patients experiencing homelessness find themselves discharged to the streets or land in programs without access to daily medical care and monitoring. Alternatively, hospitals are obliged to keep them in inpatient beds to allow for proper healing which drives up healthcare costs.
