Mission: Metro Trans Umbrella Group is a non-profit located in St. Louis, Missouri created by and for the trans community. Its mission is to serve, support, and empower the transgender, nonbinary, intersex, and gender-expansive community in Saint Louis, Missouri, and beyond through advocacy, education, direct support services, and community-building efforts.
Vision: In solidarity with our partners throughout the region, MTUG seeks to empower transgender, nonbinary, intersex, and other gender-expansive people to not only survive, but thrive in the Midwest.
Services offered:
- Community Center with free food pantry and clothing closet
- Referrals for trans-friendly resources
- Peer-led support groups
- In-house outreach from health and wellness organizations, including free STI/HIV testing
- Community events including Crafternoons, Game Nights, and trans holiday gatherings
- Peer assistance with name change applications
- Educational outreach and trans advocacy
Offers free: Food, Toiletries, Clothing, Adaptive Wear, Bus Passes (limited supply)
Community members and allies are welcome to reach out to MTUG with written content, art pieces, community event information, or advertisements they wish to be included in our quarterly magazine, FACES.
