Safer, Healthier Relationships for Children and Families
FamilyForward is dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families throughout the St. Louis region. We use a trauma-informed approach to provide therapeutic and educational services to support biological, foster, and adoptive families - all to build a brighter future for you and your family.
Assessments During assessments, we conduct interviews, observe your child's interactions and use specific evaluation tools to gather a comprehensive picture of their strengths and needs.
Caregiver Education The Caregiver Education program provides a variety of resources and tools for caregivers and families, including pre-service training and more.
Foster Care FamilyForward walks alongside families navigating alternative care. We provide a dedicated support system, helping families connect with resources, navigate the system, and advocate for their children's well-being.
Home Visiting We provide home visiting services, including family coaching for families living in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, and St. Charles County.
Kinship Navigator Our kinship navigators are here to guide you through the ins and outs of kinship care. We'll help you navigate the system and connect you with the resources you need to be supported throughout your journey.
Occupational Therapy We assist families by providing trauma-specific care that helps clients to use the strengths of the child and their caregiving environment to fully participate in meaningful activities.
Therapeutic Preschool Our Therapeutic Preschool prioritizes each child’s unique needs and supports their entire therapeutic web including caregivers and treatment teams.
Therapy We offer individual and family therapy sessions tailored to your child's unique needs. Through play, creative expression, and supportive conversations, we help children navigate challenges as they heal from trauma.
Research and Training Our research and training is conducted to help improve clinical practices and improve knowledge of childhood trauma.

- Having experienced abuse or neglect in one's lifetime qualifies one for services. All kids in foster care qualify for services. Services end at age 18 / end of one's 18th year. Programs for parents / caregivers have no age limit for the parent / caregiver, but services end once the youngest child in the home reaches 3 years old.
