Megan MacKenzie, LCSW, CST

Description
I’m Megan MacKenzie. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and AASECT-certified Sex Therapist, and I specialize in working with queer folks, couples, and people in nontraditional relationships—including poly and nonmonogamous partnerships. I also support clients exploring sexuality, gender identity, and all the messy, meaningful, sometimes confusing parts of being human.
I draw from attachment theory, neurobiology, differentiation, somatic approaches, modern psychodynamic theory, and intersectional queer theory. That means I care about your lived experience and the larger systems shaping it. We will pay attention to your emotions, your body, your relationships, your history, and your context—and make sense of it together in a way that actually feels useful.
Services: Queer therapy, sex therapy, relationship therapy, Gender-Affirming care (experiences of gender dysphoria, marginalization, or trauma),
Therapy Methods: Drawing primarily from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), modern psychodynamic theory, and intersectional queer theory, Megan provides a validating and non-judgmental space for people to explore how past experiences have shaped current beliefs and patterns.
