Description

Lydia Sparling is a clinical therapist at West County Behavioral Health. She has dedicated over a decade to working with children and teens, driven by a passion for positively impacting the youth in the St. Louis area.

Lydia specializes in addressing anxiety, stress management, self-esteem, self-compassion, career exploration, anger management, emotional regulation, relationship issues, social skills, depression, and resilience. For children and teens who may find it difficult to express their feelings verbally, she incorporates play-based and art-based therapy as effective tools for communication and healing. She also utilizes evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and__ Narrative Techniques__, to help clients challenge negative thinking while validating their emotions and experiences.

She is currently pursuing an Educational Specialist degree in Mental Health in Schools.
