Assisi House

Description
Assisi House was founded in 2014 by a dedicated group of volunteers involved in St. Louis Winter Outreach. What was meant to be a one-time, winter-long shelter turned into a volunteer-led organization providing affordable housing for unhoused individuals in the St. Louis region.
Assisi House now operates seven homes across the City of St. Louis, housing a total of 84 individuals in small, communal settings of 10-13 individuals. Residents pay an affordable rent & receive accompaniment and support from our staff and volunteers to address their self-identified goals.
Our Mission
We provide housing for unhoused or housing insecure individuals in small, communal settings where each person is treated with dignity and respect.
Each individual is of infinite value and deserves the opportunity to live in a place where they have respite from the devastating effects of being unhoused.
