Human Rights Campaign - St. Louis

By empowering and mobilizing people at the grassroots level, HRC St. Louis aims to create impactful change, providing advocacy for HRC’s mission and work on the ground. Their mission is to ensure that all LGBTQ+ people, and particularly those of us who are trans, people of color and HIV+, are treated as full and equal citizens within our movement, across our country and around the world. HRC St. Louis is a dedicated team of volunteers who use their experience and talents to develop a more affirming, inclusive, and equitable community.

In addition to educating the public about the issues that affect LGBTQ+ people and their families, HRC St. Louis works to engage LGBTQ+ people and allies in the fight for equality, raise money to fund HRC’s work, build strong relationships with local businesses and like-minded organizations, and turn out voters to elect pro-Equality candidates into office.

Emergency Funds for Relocating Families and Transgender Individuals: HRC - St. Louis is maintaining a list of resources and organizations that may provide emergency funding to individuals and families impacted by anti-LGBTQ+ legislation, to relocate or to access care or services outside of your current state of residence. Many of the organizations are new and are only taking applications at this time.
