Magic House

The Magic House is a not-for-profit organization that offers hands-on exhibits and educational programs reflecting the special interests and needs of children. The Museum offers a wide variety of interactive learning experiences encouraging and inspiring students of all ages to become lifelong learners, including field trips, family STEAM nights, scout programs and summer camps.

Mission Statement: The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum will engage all children with hands-on learning experiences that spark imagination, pique curiosity, enhance creativity and develop problem-solving skills within a place of beauty, wonder, joy and magic.

The Magic House hosts Emerson Free Family Nights every third Friday of the month from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. These special nights enable a family (up to two adults and four children) to visit the Museum at no cost. Reservations are recommended due to capacity regulations. With proof of appropriate paperwork, foster families in Missouri and Illinois receive free admission to The Magic House. The Magic House participates in Blue Star Museums, which means active-duty military and their immediate family members receive free admission to The Magic House from Armed Forces Day (May 16) through Labor Day. This includes National Guard and Reserve. Must show proof of military ID to receive discount. From Labor Day through Memorial Day, active-duty military members will receive free admission with proof of military ID, and immediate family members will receive 50% off admission. This includes National Guard and Reserve.
