Hannah Steele is the owner and founder of Somatic Performance Therapies, LLC. She is a St. Louis native with passions for dance, travel, reading, and Disney. Hannah received their bachelor’s from Knox College in Dance Science and Psychology, then went on to receive their Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis. She discovered her love for both physical therapy and Somatic Practices when she was severely injured in high school.
Hannah's approach focuses on correcting movement patterns and fostering the body-mind connection. This holistic approach acknowledges mental and emotional factors that affect physical dysfunction and pain. Thier goal is to empower people to take control of their health and mobility in order to get back to what they love and need to do in life.
Methods: She is experienced in all western studio and social dance styles to varying degrees, Somatic Practice informed in The Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Method, and Body Mind Centering, Movement System Impairment trained, Pelvic Health trained through Herman & Wallace, IASTM certified, and pursuing Somatic Experiencing certification.
